An Interview with Daniel Lucas on his Book 101 Podcast
I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Daniel Lucas on his podcast. We touched on some familiar topics, like how I became an author, as well as themes in the book. Unlike other podcasts I have been on however, Daniel wanted to get into more of the depth and intent behind the writing.
The one piece of advice or insight I want to highlight is the discussion about 'Embrace the Journey'.
My perspective here is that once you pick the genre you want to write in, then you are beginning a journey. More importantly, you have to be compassionate with yourself.
You can not expect to just run out there and produce something fantastic.
You have to be compassionate and you have to take it slow and you have to understand there's going to be a lot of learning along the way, but to enjoy that journey.
Be compassionate and enjoy the journey.
